Perfect bags for bread and other pasties. I’ve used bags like this for years and finally ran out. I was glad to find these, tho I’d love the same size in white (hint hint!). I called to ask about that and spoke with a very knowledgeable person who suggested the slightly larger size if I was set on having white bags, which I wasn’t. The bags arrived less than a week later , much faster than the scheduled delivery! I’d definitely use this company again!!

These bags are great for the home bread baker. The bread does not get soggy and stayed fresh better than the zip closure bags. Less expensive than them as well!

Do you use carnauba wax or paraffin for the wax coating? I would like to compost these bags after Im done using them.

Thank you for reaching out! Our Item #3262, 8 lb. Wax Coated Kraft SOS Bag (6 1/8" x 4" x 12 3/8"), is coated with paraffin wax, rather than carnauba wax.

Since you mentioned wanting to compost the bags after use, I would recommend checking with your local composting facility before adding them to your compost. Composting requirements can vary by facility, and the paraffin wax coating may affect whether they will accept this type of wax-coated paper bag.
